Ten Occupy Wall Street Heroes In Ten Days: Boots Riley

Day seven in my Ten Occupy Wall Street Heroes in Ten Days series is activist and lead vocalist for the group The Coup, Boots Riley. As a resident of Oakland, Riley has helped galvanize the Occupy Oakland movement at the grassroots level. He is responsible for boosting demonstrators’ morale and dismissing rumors. In addition, Riley has spearheaded the upcoming West Coast Port Shutdown effort taking place on December 12th. Here Riley talks with RT News about his dissatisfaction with the inequality in the US and possible solutions to these problems. A big thank you goes to occupier Jessy C. for suggesting Riley.
