More of Alex. He’s apparently quit acting but he’s still spotted out and about once in a while around Hawaii where he lives. His smile can really light up a room. To me he’ll always be Steve McGarrett the hero. I’m hoping he’ll return to acting someday. Still working on this but feeling really sick tonight so thought I’d post it.

More Alex O’Loughlin. I love this man so much. His portrayal of Steve McGarrett on HawaiI Five 0 has really inspired me through a tough time in my life. Last year the doctors found a rare intradural tumor in my spine. I had to have emergency surgery to have it removed. I couldn’t walk for a while so had a lot of down time. While recovering I spent time on the couch watching tv and discovered this show Hawaiii Five 0. I became obsessed with it and the bromance between Steve and Danny the two male leads. Back in the real world I thought I was out of the woods after the tumor was removed but a few months ago I had an epidural for pain that went wrong and has caused catastrophic neurological problems like Arachnoiditis  that are inoperable. One day I would like to tell more of that story and call out the doctor who botched my epidural. She basically murdered me. Not sure if I’ll live much longer. But Steve and his physical prowess and athleticism has inspired me through it all. He’s always doing heroic things,  jumping off buildings or bravely saving someone. He does all the physical things I wish my body could still do but can’t do anymore. I know it’s just a character but inspiring none the less. I highly recommend Hawaii Five-0 it’s a good escape if you ever have a tumor in your spine
