Turtle Boy Statue


This is an illustration I made for an article in Central Massachusetts Pride Magazine written by Jayme Frazier about Worcester’s Pride. The illustration is of a statue in Worcester known as "Turtle Boy." The statue was created by sculptor Charles Y. Harvey and has become the mascot for Worcester Massachusetts.

Ahmed Wali Karzai Revisited


Just two weeks after the assassination of Ahmed Wali Karzai, the mayor of Kandahar, Ghulam Haidar Hamidi was tragically killed in a suicide bomb attack. Ahmed Wali Karzai, brother of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, shockingly was assassinated by a trusted family security guard at his home in Kandahar city on July 12.

Gabby Giffords Returns


An emotional moment in congress yesterday when Gabby Giffords returned to cast her vote in favor of the debt deal and avoid default. Congresswoman Giffords said later in a statement "I had to be here for this vote. I could not take the chance that my absence could crash our economy." Members of congress applauded and cried at Giffords' return. This was her first vote since being shot in Tucson on January 8, 2011.
