White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney has been working overtime lately. With the killing of Osama Bin Laden by Navy Seal Team 6 and defending the recent ridiculous criticism by the right-wing media for the white house inviting rapper Common to a poetry reading held there. More recently Carney also discussed remarks by the President on the Middle East and North Africa. My absolute favorite was the press conference shortly after the killing of OBL. Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, John Brennan spoke through most of the press conference but during the last ten minutes Carney took questions from the media and of course they grilled him about the recent NATO air strike on Qaddafi’s compound. For the final question, when a reporter asks Carney “Is there a message there to Qaddafi in this?” Carney answers cool as a cucumber, “You could say that” and then he walks off. Nicely done Mr. Carney. The whole press conference can be viewed here but I recommend fast forwarding to the last ten minutes to witness greatness.
