It was a very historic moment when President Obama met with New Jersey's Republican Governor, Chris Christie on Wednesday after the city was devastated by hurricane Sandy. Christie is well known for his criticism of Obama's policies in the past however, both politicians put aside partisanship to organize help for the victims of the superstorm. Later Christie uncharacteristically praised the President for his coordinating efforts. Personally I think it's uplifting to see politicians working together in times of crisis and cementing the motto, "United we stand, divided we fall."
