After Donald Trump’s private,
one on one meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki the White House
said it was
reviewing a request by Putin to
allow Russian investigators
to question American citizens. The list of citizens included former US ambassador to Russia,
Michael McFaul. Trump called it an
"incredible offer" before
finally turning it down after some pushback.
